Coaching Struggling Readers

Learn to identify "sidelined" readers and give them a plan to get back in the "game" of reading. Specific lessons target phonemic awareness, phonics and decoding, vocabulary development, comprehension, and critical thinking. Lesson activities include a warm-up to reinforce background skills, a plan that features the targeted skill, and ideas for additional practice.
