Number Match Games
by Donna Whyte
(K-2)
Teaching how a number can be represented in various ways is a first step in
helping students develop number sense. And these cards make it fun and games!
Students can play the suggested games in a small group or independently at a
math center, and you can easily differentiate each game to match your students`
skill levels. Packaged in a tuck box, the set of 130-plus cards includes 10
different ways to represent numbers 1 through 10 (as a numeral, Roman numeral,
hour on a clock face, tally marks, number name, grouping of objects, dice,
coins, fingers, and ordinal position) plus an instruction card for each game.
