Margaret Allen, Ph.D., also known as Dr. Maggie, is a veteran teacher, national speaker, and specialist in early childhood education. Maggies recent dissertation topic focused on the role of music and rhyme in the development of phonemic awareness and emergent literacy. Along with her love of children and music, Dr. Maggies interests have included developing curriculum materials and programs for various school districts, foundations, and publications. She has written numerous resource books for teachers and composed and produced musical CDs with songs that teach skills and concepts through music and movement.
